Meme-Rider Scout Oath
Meme-Rider Scout Oath
A Meme-Rider Scout
Rides memes,
Is autonomous, secular, co-ed, non-hierarchical,
Anti-authoritarian, transhuman and uncanny;
A willing contributor in ‘pataphysical mischief,
Mayhem, hullabaloo, disruption, bedlam,
Monkey shines, tomfoolery and shenanigans.
Will expose the unkempt pubes of big culture,
Fights corporate freedom-jacking
And religious fear-jacking.
A Meme-Rider Scout
Travels throughout time and space,
Goes in between the pedestals skipping,
Orders from the drive thru of direct action,
Follows the “Code of the Cyberpunk” and the
“Laws of the Anarchist”.
A Meme-Rider Scout
Laughs, loves and pokes fun,
Changes the world by any media assumed,
Is an army of everything and
A believer in nothing,
Das ding an sich...
And also believes in unicorns.

This is the only scout oath I can find in any meme-scout organization, it is used by a group of meme-scouts, called the Benevolent Order of Scouts in the name of the Grand Memetic Worm Zither. They focus on the 'pataphyscial nature of the world, and espouse a conscious attitude of citizenship. Their mascot is the worm who plays zither from Raymond Roussel's famous novel, "Impressions of Africa". One of their founding members is supposedly Lutembi, the infamous crocodile who helped form the College of 'Pataphysics in Paris. This particular scout oath came from troop 90 in New Orleans.
